Man Spraying Graffiti onto a Wall is Found in Possession of a Stolen Firearm

DATE:  November 14, 2025, at 6:01 pm 

INCIDENT: PC 640.6 – Graffiti 

LOCATIONS: 14900 block of Walnut St, Hesperia 

SUSPECT(S): Johnny Gonzales, 33-year-old male, resident of Hesperia 
                        Timothy Rogers, 31-year-old male, resident of Hesperia
                        Stefanie Ruiz, 33-year-old female, resident of Hesperia 
   
 
SUMMARY: On Friday, November 14, 2025, at approximately 6:01 pm, Deputies from the Hesperia Sheriff’s station responded to a call for service in reference to a male adult, later identified as Johnny Gonzales, tagging the side of a wall of belonging to a private residence.

Deputies arrived on scene and contacted Gonzales. As deputies were detaining Gonzales, he ran from them and threw a black semi-automatic handgun onto the ground. After a short time, Gonzales was detained, and the firearm was located. The firearm was found to be reported stolen from the Town of Apple Valley. 

Deputies returned to the incident location and recognized the graffiti was associated with a criminal street gang. 

 After an extensive investigation, Hesperia Detectives and the Hesperia Gang unit served a search warrant in the 15000 block of Olive St, Hesperia.  During the service of the search warrant, additional items were located, including gang indicia, ammunition, two additional firearms, narcotics, and subjects with outstanding warrants. 

Three subjects were arrested for numerous charges, including Felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm while in possession of narcotics, and possession of a stolen firearm. Gonzales, Rogers and Ruiz were transported and booked at High Desert Detention Center.
