Gloucester Township Police reminds you that the best seat at the Thanksgiving table is the one you come back to. With that said, we want you to STAY SAFE this upcoming holiday!
Thanksgiving Eve, also known as "Drinksgiving," is the unofficial name for the night before Thanksgiving in the United States. It is one of the busiest nights of the year for bars, with many people reconnecting with old friends and family who have come into town.
The tradition is also associated with increased incidents of drunk driving, making it a dangerous night on the roads.
So, stay safe if you plan to drink-
• Drink In Moderation and DON’T Drink and Drive- arrange a ride share, taxi, or designated driver before you head out.
• Keep an eye on your drink- never leave it unattended especially in crowded places where it could be tampered with.
• Stay with your group of friends, look out for each other, and plan to leave together.
• Know your limits- If you feel “tipsy”, you are already impaired.
Remember, the only one that should be getting roasted this Thanksgiving is the Turkey. If you decide to act like one by drinking and driving, then you can come have a seat with us!
