Narrative:
On 8/07/2025, Thousand Oaks Patrol Deputies responded to a residential burglary call for service at a residence in the 2800 Block of Via Camino in the City of Thousand Oaks. Deputies on scene determined that unknown suspects forcibly entered the victim’s residence and stole property.
Detectives began investigating the burglary and, through covert surveillance and law enforcement investigative tools, determined that the crime occurred on 07/30/2025 and that (S) Jose Jean Cuervo Cardenas was one of the suspects responsible.
On 10/09/2025, detectives from the East County Investigations Bureau, Property Crimes Unit, conducted surveillance on Cuervo Cardenas as he and two additional male subjects traveled to the city of Placencia in Orange County. Detectives collaborated with members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, North Directed Enforcement Team, and, through joint surveillance, observed Cuervo Cardenas and the two other male subjects casing a residence in the area.
On 10/10/2025, Cuervo Cardenas and the two other male subjects returned to Placencia and were arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s North Directed Enforcement Team, as they committed a residential burglary. The three male subjects were identified as Jose Jean Cuervo Cardenas, Fabio Andres Cuervo Cardenas, and Isaias Cuervo Cardenas. All three are suspected to be part of a Transnational Organized Crime group. All three are currently in custody in Orange County on burglary charges.
