Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a robbery following an investigation.
On November 7, at approximately 4:16 p.m., members of the Special Operations Division responded to the 600 block of North Market Street in reference to a robbery that had occurred. The case was assigned to Detective Ann Clark of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of her investigation, Detective Clark identified 26-year-old Jamal Thomas as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.
On November 15, at approximately 5:54 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division located Thomas in the area of East 23rd and Carter Streets, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Thomas has been charged with the following offense:
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $60,000 cash-only bail.
