Eligible New York City residents and businesses in Red Hook, Brooklyn affected by the five-alarm fire on Van Brunt Street on September 17th, 2025, may now apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration. These loans are made available for those whose homes and/or businesses were damaged due to the fire. The filing deadline to submit applications is January 13th, 2026, for physical damage, and August 14th, 2026, for economic injury.
