Winter Weather Advisory until 12:00PM

* WHAT...Freezing rain and snow. Ice accumulation between one and two tenths of an inch possible. Snow accumulation of a trace to one half inch.

* WHERE...Anchorage and Eagle River (all elevations).

* WHEN...Until noon AKST today.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light precipitation is making it over the mountains this morning, mainly east of and along the Seward Highway. A warm layer aloft is producing freezing rain, but should precipitation become heavy enough, snow may mix in at times. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing later in the day, but rain falling onto snow covered or frozen surfaces may create hazardous travel conditions.
