Sheriff’s Vice Task Force & Internal Affairs Investigators conducted a jail security operation involving contraband being smuggled into the Clayton County Jail.

After a joint investigation, it was determined that a jail contractor from Keefe Group Commissary, Nshara Larris, was compromised.

On November 19, 2025, Clayton County Police and Sheriff’s K-9 Units responded to the immediate area of Ms. Larris. A search was conducted, during which investigators located 289.9 grams of marijuana and 303.9 grams of tobacco concealed inside her office desk.

Ms. Larris was immediately taken into custody and is now facing multiple criminal charges, including:

• Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

– VGCSA Possession of Marijuana w/ Intent to Distribute (O.C.G.A. § 16-13-30(j)(1))

• Crossing Guard Lines with Drugs (O.C.G.A. § 42-5-15) – (3 counts)

• Giving Inmates Drugs Without Consent of the Warden (O.C.G.A. § 42-5-18) – (3 counts)

Since taking office, SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN has personally met with every new-hire class. Before administering the oath of office, he makes it clear that a cultural shift is underway within the Sheriff’s Office. Under his leadership, a total of 22 employees/contractors have been arrested (14 employees and 8 contractors). The Sheriff’s administration will not tolerate corruption or misconduct.
