Fatal Traffic Collision on Washington Boulevard Under Investigation
In the early morning hours of November 22, 2025, Culver City Police and Culver City Fire personnel responded to a solo motorcycle collision that resulted in the death of an adult motorcyclist.
At approximately 1:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Washington Boulevard and Kensington Avenue after receiving a report of an unconscious person lying on the ground following a motorcycle crash. First responders located the motorcyclist in the parkway area between the sidewalk and curb and provided life-saving measures. Culver City Fire Department personnel transported the individual to a local hospital, where the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased.
Culver City Police investigators and forensic specialists responded to the location to process the scene and investigate. Parking Enforcement Officers assisted with traffic control, and a Nixle alert was issued advising the community of the temporary closure of eastbound Washington Boulevard between Inglewood Boulevard and McLaughlin Avenue.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcyclist had been traveling eastbound on Washington Boulevard at a high rate of speed and was unable to maintain control, resulting in an ejection from the motorcycle and a subsequent collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
The roadway was reopened to traffic at approximately 6:45 a.m., and an alert was issued to notify the community.
