Wilmington Police arrest woman on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

Beginning in November, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 200 block of South Vanburen Street. On November 19, at approximately 10:25 a.m., officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 800 block of North Vanburen Street, where they took 46-year-old Crystal Walden into custody without incident. Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant in the 200 block of South Vanburen Street, and recovered two loaded .380 caliber handguns, and 12 MDMA pills.

Walden has been charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Six Counts
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
