We have received reports of citizens receiving fraudulent calls regarding missing jury duty and the scammers are demanding payment over the phone. If you have received a call, text, or message and they followed the narrative above… it is a scam.

A few reminders to help protect yourself:
• Never send money or gift cards to people over the phone that you do not know • Never reveal personal information like your banking information or Social Security number over the phone • Always ask questions and details from the caller • Don’t be afraid to hang up even if it is those extended car warranty calls.
