Meet the newest faces of OPD! Interim Chief Beere kicked off our 196th Police Academy today, welcoming 28 OPD Police Officer Trainees, four women and 24 men. Many of the future officers are fluent in multiple languages, and 18 are Oakland residents or have deep roots in our city.
Join us in congratulating this group as they begin their journey to serve our community!
We’re also proud to train two future officers from the Alameda Police Department.
