Stolen Vehicle leads to an arrest 
On November 24, 2025, at approximately 3:53 p.m., Simi Valley Police Department Dispatch and responding officers were alerted by Flock Safety technology that a stolen vehicle had entered the area of Stearns Street and the 118 Freeway. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Newport Beach.
Officers conducted an area check and located the stolen vehicle parked at the In-N-Out. Officers maintained observation as the vehicle left the parking lot, and a traffic stop was initiated near Stearns Street and the 118 Freeway.
The driver, Chyngyz Sydykakunov, 27 years old, from Koreatown, was detained without incident. Following the on-scene investigation, Sydykakunov was transported to the East Valley Jail, where he was booked for 10851 CVC – Vehicle Theft.
