Winter Storm Watch until 07:00AM Friday

* WHAT...Wintry mix should transition to snow late Wednesday with heavy snow rates possible into Thanksgiving. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze possible.

* WHERE...Clare, Osceola, and Lake Counties.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon through Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening commute and any travel on Thanksgiving.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LAKE ... OSCEOLA ... CLARE

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
