...STRONG WINDS WITH SNOW ON WEDNESDAY MORNING... .Rain transitions to snow overnight and into Wednesday morning across much of the local area accompanied with increasing wind gusts over 40 mph. Consequently, a Winter Weather Advisory has been expanded further south to include the Interstate 90 corridor as the combination of accumulating snow and strong wind gusts will lead to hazardous travel on Wednesday morning.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Minnesota and west central Wisconsin.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
