CAD CALLS: 781

1. Battery on an Officer (1545) Bridge Place and Hunter Street, Civic District

A parking enforcement officer attempted to issue a citation for an illegally parked vehicle, but the car’s owner interfered, blocking the view of the license plate. Officers responded and attempted to detain the suspect. The suspect pulled away and grabbed an officer’s duty belt. Force was used to take the suspect into custody.
ARRESTED: Francisco Arias, 66, for resisting arrest and battery on an officer.

2. Resisting Arrest/Vandalism (1651) 2800 Block of Sebastan Lane, Valley Oak District

Officers responded to the call location on a report that the suspect forced his way into a residence near the listed call location and barricaded himself inside. Officers encountered the suspect inside the residence and attempted to take him into custody. The suspect physically fought with officers, and force was used to take
him into custody. ARRESTED: Robert Orozco, 46, for assault, resisting arrest, criminal threats, and vandalism.

3. Robbery (1937) 1200 Block of South California Street, Seaport District

The male victim, 48, was arriving in the area when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect demanded the victim’s money and made reference to a gun. The victim handed over his property to the suspect. The suspect fled the area on a bicycle. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult

4. Armed Robbery (2258) Burke Bradley Drive and Pershing Avenue, Lakeview District

The female victim, 27, was walking in the area when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The victim handed over her property, and the suspect fled in a vehicle, being driven by an unknown female. SUSPECT: Black male adult and unknown race female

5. Person Stabbed (2258) 700 Block of East Hazelton Avenue, Seaport District

The male victim, 51, was in the residence when the suspect entered and attacked him with an object. The suspect was located in the area and taken into custody. The victim and suspect were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. ARRESTED: Juan Antonio Lopez, 19, for assault with a deadly weapon.

6. Weapons Arrest (2351) El Dorado Street and Swain Road, Lakeview District

Officers conducted a proactive traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of the listed call location. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded handgun. ARRESTED: Omar Juarez, 29, for weapons charges.
