INCIDENT: H&S 11377 - Possession of a Controlled Substance
PC 148(A)(1) - Obstructing/Resisting Police Officer
LOCATION: 400 Block of La Mesa, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Michael Hamilton, 39-year-old Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): The State of California
SUMMARY: On Monday, November 24, 2025, at approximately 12:14 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department contacted Michael Hamilton during a pedestrian check near the 400 block of La Mesa Drive.
During the encounter, Hamilton fled on foot. Deputies pursued Hamilton and quickly apprehended him a short distance away. Further investigation revealed Hamilton had an outstanding warrant for H&S 11364(A) - Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. He was also found to be in violation of PC 148(A)(1)- Obstructing/Resisting a Peace Officer as well as H&S 11377(A) - Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Hamilton was taken into custody without further incident and arrested on the above mentioned charges. Hamilton was transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $43,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
