🚨 CLOQUET POLICE DEPARTMENT – PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
Seasonal parking rules are now in effect, and today’s snowfall is creating extremely hazardous driving conditions across the city. Officers have already responded to several crashes and vehicles sliding off the road. Please take it slow out there.
🚫 Winter Parking Restrictions (City Code 5.4.05)
From November 1 through March 31, the seasonal parking ordinance prohibits parking:
❄️ Between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
on any street, alley, boulevard, sidewalk, or public grounds within the city.
This helps our Public Works crews clear snow safely and efficiently.
Vehicles parked at open businesses between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. are exempt unless instructed by an officer to move.
If plows are out (about 2 inches of snow or more):

Violators will receive a citation

Vehicles may be immediately towed at the owner’s expense

Towing and storage fees must be paid before release
Help us keep the streets safe and passable this winter. Moving your vehicle on time makes a big difference.

Roads are icy, snow-covered, and slick. Please:

Avoid sudden braking or sharp turns
