ELECTION INFO: County Clerk to open this Saturday for VBMs; Vote early via VBM; Runoff election is Dec. 2
The runoff election will be held on Dec. 2. Registered voters can vote again for Hoboken Mayor and three at-Large City Council representatives.
County Clerk to open Saturday, Nov. 29; Registered voters can vote early by VBM at the County Clerks Office
The Office of the Hudson County Clerk Division of Elections, located at 257 Cornelison Ave., 4th Floor, Jersey City, will be offering extended hours on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Hoboken and Jersey City residents.
For voters who have not received their Vote-By-Mail ballot, they may request a new ballot by visiting the County Clerk’s Office and filling out an affidavit. Please note that to request a new ballot, the voter must be registered with their most recent address. Contact the County Clerk's Division of Elections at (201) 369-3470- option #6 prior to visiting the office to verify updated registration information or the Superintendent of Elections at (201) 369-7740.
Voters can cast their ballot early, via a Vote-By-Mail ballot, on Saturday, Nov. 29, or on Monday, Dec 1. before 3 p.m. at the Board of Elections Office. In order to do so, you must bring a valid NJ-issued identification card (state, government, or local ID) that contains your photo, address, and signature. The address on your ID MUST match your ballot address.

Vote in person on Dec. 2
Residents can cast their ballot at their registered polling place on Tuesday, Dec. 2., between the hours of 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please note, if your polling location is the AJ Demarest school, voting will take place in trailers located on Garden Street between Fourth and Fifth Street. Temporary No Parking signs will be posted in advance.

Vote-By-Mail information
Registered voters can also apply for a Vote-By-Mail (VBM) ballot in person at the County Clerk's Office before 3 p.m. the day before the election.

There are three ways voters can submit their completed VBM ballot:
- Voters can return their VBM ballot by placing it in the nearest mailbox using the U.S. Postal Service. The ballot must be postmarked on or before Dec. 2 and received by the Hudson County Board of Elections.
- There are also three secure ballot drop box locations in Hoboken where voters can drop off their VBM ballot; one at Hoboken City Hall at 94 Washington St. on Newark Street, one at the Stevens Gateway Building at Hudson Street and Sixth Street, and a new drop box has been added on Monroe Street between Seventh and Eighth Streets. Voters must submit their VBM ballot in a secure drop box on or before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
- Voters can also return their mail-in ballot in person to the Hudson County Board of Elections Office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The Hudson County Board of Elections Office is located at Hudson County Plaza, 257 Cornelison Avenue, 4th Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07302. NOTE: VBM ballots CANNOT be returned to ANY polling place.
