Narrative:
 
Over the weekend, the Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force, in collaboration with allied agencies and Loss Prevention, conducted a Pre-Black Friday blitz operation at the Camarillo Premium Outlets. The operation led to the arrest of 7 adults. Authorities recovered approximately $1,500 in stolen merchandise and narcotics.
The arrests made during the Pre-Black Friday blitz operation include the following:
Shandrea Gay was arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for one misdemeanor count of retail theft and one felony count of conspiracy to commit a crime. Gay is currently in custody on $20,000 bail and is scheduled back in court on 11/25/25.
 
 
Danta Jones was arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for one misdemeanor count of retail theft, one felony count of conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of forged documents and two warrants. Jones is currently in custody and is scheduled back in court on 11/25/25.
Nick Lee Estrada was arrested for one misdemeanor count of retail theft and one felony count of conspiracy to commit a crime. Estrada was released on his own recognizance with a citation and a scheduled court date of 12/08/25.
Amy Estrada was arrested for one misdemeanor count of retail theft and one felony count of conspiracy to commit a crime. Estrada was released on her own recognizance with a citation and a scheduled court date of 12/08/25.
Gabriela Sarmiento was arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for one misdemeanor count of retail theft, one misdemeanor count of possession of burglary tools and one felony count of conspiracy to commit a crime. Sarmiento posted $25,000 bail and is due back in court on 12/08/25.
Segundo Ramirez-Zena was arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for one misdemeanor count of retail theft, one misdemeanor count of possession of burglary tools and one felony count of conspiracy to commit a crime. Segundo-Zena posted $25,000 bail and is due back in court on 12/08/25.
Javier Avila was arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for one misdemeanor count of retail theft, one count of providing false information to an officer, one count of possession of controlled substances, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one felony count of conspiracy to commit a crime and an outstanding warrant. Avila is currently in custody and is scheduled back in court on 11/25/25.
A blitz operation is a saturation of resources and law enforcement personnel concentrated on multiple retail establishments to combat retail theft. This Pre-Black Friday event was a collaboration between law enforcement, Outlet retailers and the Outlet’s security personnel.
Additionally, law enforcement will be present at the Camarillo Outlets and surrounding shopping centers during the upcoming Black Friday shopping weekend.  
The task force welcomes retailers who are experiencing significant retail theft and want to participate in similar blitz operations to call their main line at (805) 383-8703.
The Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force was formed after the Sheriff’s Office was awarded grant funding under the California Retail Theft Prevention Grant Program.  This program formalizes a coordinated effort, overseen by the Sheriff’s Office, involving all law enforcement agencies in Ventura County to prevent and combat the estimated $10 million yearly loss from organized retail theft, vehicle/vehicle parts theft and cargo theft. 
The task force is comprised of detectives from various agencies within Ventura County with the primary mission of combatting organized retail theft, vehicle/vehicle parts theft and cargo theft which impact our businesses, citizens, and communities here in Ventura County.  The task force aims to provide a safe environment for everyone while working hand in hand with retailers, law enforcement agencies and the public to identify, locate and arrest the criminals involved in these types of crimes.
