ESCONDIDO, California – An 11-year-old boy sustained critical injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle at about 5 p.m. Wednesday. The driver of the vehicle did not remain on scene, and investigators are working to identify that individual. The child was taken by ambulance to an area hospital and later airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has any information leading to the identification of the driver to call Officer Paul Smyth at 760-839-4423.

Niño golpeado por conductor atropellado en East Washington Avenue ESCONDIDO, California – Un niño de 11 años resultó gravemente herido tras ser atropellado por un vehículo cuyo conductor se dio a la fuga, alrededor de las 5 p.m. del miércoles. El conductor no permaneció en el lugar del accidente y los investigadores están trabajando para identificarlo. El niño fue trasladado en ambulancia a un hospital de la zona y posteriormente en helicóptero al Rady Children’s Hospital en San Diego.
