* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 6 inches possible across the far northern portion of the county. Snowfall totals will quickly diminish to 1 to 2 inches in southern Summit County. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Summit County.
* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow is expected Thursday evening as snowbands sag into the area from the north. Snowfall rates could reach 1 inch per hour at times.
