My Dear Neighbors and Friends:
 
Thanksgiving is a time to join with family and friends and give thanks for the blessings that we enjoy every day.
 
It is a time to be thankful and think about all the special people who have touched our lives, a time to cherish the good memories we have and look ahead with hope, peace, and joy to the future.
 
It is a time to reach out to those in our community who are less fortunate. It is better to give than to receive.
 
Let us be thankful for our Borough employees, Police department, volunteer fire department, and ambulance corps, who do an exceptional job in our community meeting the needs of our neighbors through prompt, responsive, outstanding service protecting and serving our community.
 
The strength of any community comes from its residents. Let us be thankful that we have active and caring residents who are involved in Waldwick whether sitting on a town board, committee or just volunteering their time to a town organization, thank you for stepping up and being a part of this great community.
 
Let us also remember those who will not be sitting around our table this Thanksgiving, who are leaving an empty chair, “Your memory is my keepsake with which we never part. God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart”. Missing you this Thanksgiving, but thankful for the love you left behind.
