Safety Reminders From the Desk of SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN Happy Thanksgiving Clayton County!!!
Clayton County Residents,
As we gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the trust and support you place in me to serve our community. This holiday season, let’s remain mindful, stay safe, and continue to look out for one another.
Holiday Safety Tips:
Traveling:
Secure your home before leaving and notify a trusted neighbor of your plans.
Driving:
Do not drink and drive. Always designate a sober driver or use a reliable ride-share service.
Cooking:
Practice kitchen safety and never leave the stove unattended. For added preparedness, I’ve included a Fire Extinguisher Class Chart to help ensure your home is properly equipped.
Shopping:
If you’re heading out for after-Thanksgiving sales, stay aware of your surroundings. Shop with a trusted friend or family member, and if you ever feel unsafe, call 911 immediately.
The Clayton County Police Department and Sheriff’s Office will be actively patrolling throughout the holiday season to support and protect our community.
Your safety and well-being remain my top priority. On behalf of the entire Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, I wish you and your family a joyful, peaceful, and safe Thanksgiving.
