Personal Injury accident in Howard Twp

Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on November 28th, 2025 at approximately 1330 hours, Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash on Yankee St south of Wolf Rd in Howard Township, Cass County, Michigan. The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Rebecca Shaffer, (27-years-old of Elkhart, IN) was eastbound on Yankee St when her vehicle left the roadway on the northside of the road and struck a tree.  Shaffer was transported by SMCAS ambulance to Beacon Granger Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Assisting agencies were SMCAS Ambulance, Howard Township Fire Department. Drugs and Alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this incident.
