1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1637) 200 Block of East March Lane, Lakeview District
The female victim, 19, and the male victim, 20, were driving in the area when the suspect pointed a firearm at them. Officers located and attempted to stop the suspect, but he fled in his vehicle, leading officers on a pursuit. The pursuit concluded when the suspect abandoned his vehicle. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. The suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm. ARRESTED: Shaw Wensel, 54, for assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, pursuit, and weapon charges.
2. Shooting into a Vehicle (0257) 9000 Block of West Lane, Valley Oak District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of gunfire. Officers located several vehicles that had been struck during the shooting. There were no injuries reported, and no suspect information.
