1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1115) 300 Block of South Wilson Way, Park District
The male victim, 30, was working as a driver and responded to the area to pick up two passengers. The suspect was standing in the area, pulled out a gun, and shot at the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was struck, but no one was injured. SUSPECT: White male adult.
2. Armed Robbery (1546) 2400 Block of East Main Street, Park District
The male victim, 20, was chased by the suspects in the listed area, during which one of the suspects fired gunshots at him. The suspects cornered the victim and took property from him. The suspects fled in a vehicle, and the victim fled on foot. No injuries were reported. SUSPECTS: Black male adult and a Black female adult.
3. Pursuit Arrest (2311) 400 Block of North Union Street, Park District
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations. The vehicle failed to yield, leading officers on a short pursuit. The suspect’s vehicle was disabled, and the suspect fled on foot. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody nearby. ARRESTED: Matthew Riddle, 31, for traffic charges and resisting arrest.
