Special Weather Statement until 08:30AM

A storm system is making its way across Northeastern Nevada early this morning. As of 5 AM PST the Nevada Department of Transportation road cameras were showing surface accumulations on State Route 225 in Owyhee, on Highway 93 at Jackpot, and on Interstate 80 at Pequop Summit. Snow showers will expand across much of Elko County the rest of this morning, with many additional locations and common roadways seeing impactful snow accumulation. Travelers are urged to use caution and reduce speeds when encountering snow covered roads this morning. Snow showers will taper off later this morning and afternoon.
