Residential Burglary Suspect Arrested
On Sunday, November 30, 2025, at approximately 7:07 AM, Petaluma Police Department Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 Block of S McDowell Blvd to investigate an apparent burglary that had just occurred. The resident reported seeing an unknown male in the backyard area of her home via her ring camera. The male then entered into the resident’s detached laundry room and took a pair of women’s underwear before fleeing the area. The resident was able to provide our dispatch with a clothing description of the man and his direction of travel.
Officers responded to the area and located a subject matching the provided description. The subject, later identified as Jose Jimenez-Gomez (24, Petaluma), initially refused to cooperate and attempted to walk away from officers. Ultimately, the subject complied and was taken into custody without incident.
Jimenez-Gomez was still in possession of the stolen underwear and was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail on the following charges: 647(h) PC (Prowling) and 459 PC (Burglary).
