An arrest has been made in Bowie Street shooting incident.
**UPDATE 12/1/25**
On November 30, 2025, at about 2:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Bowie in reference to a shooting. Approximately 50 gunshots were fired into a residence occupied by five adults and three children.
Through the combined efforts of the Amarillo Police Department’s Investigations Unit, Digital Forensics Unit, Crime Scene Unit, ATF, and the Amarillo Regional Crime Center, and with critical assistance from community members who submitted surveillance footage, investigators identified a suspect. Less than 24 hours after the incident, officers apprehended and arrested 18-year-old Ruben Terrazas III.
Terrazas was booked into the Randall County Detention Center on eight counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
This investigation remains ongoing. The Amarillo Police Department continues to request that citizens in the area of the shooting review any available surveillance footage from around the time of the incident. On Sunday, November 30, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., a vehicle drove through the alley in the 4300 block of Bowie and fired multiple gunshots at a residence. The vehicle then continued northbound from the area and entered I-27 heading north.
We are asking residents in this area to please check your home or business video systems. Detectives specifically need both video AND audio that may have captured:

🔹 The suspect vehicle
🔹 Any sounds or activity connected to the incident
