Police Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who stole a package from the porch of a residence on November 26, 2025.
The suspect, captured on surveillance video, took the package at approximately 1:32 p.m. from the home in the 50 block of Hazelwood Avenue. He walked away northbound on Hazelwood towards Fortuna Street.
The suspect is described as 5’6” to 5’7” with a slim build and a fair-skinned complexion. He wore a black ski mask, black-framed eyeglasses, a stone-washed jean jacket, and white Air Force One sneakers.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
