Police Seek Robbery Suspect
 
South Brunswick Police are looking for a suspect who committed a robbery on Monday morning in a preschool parking lot along Route 27. At 9:02 am, police received a 911 call reporting a woman had been robbed in the parking lot of The Sapling School, 3080 Route 27, Kendall Park. The woman was dropping off her child when the suspect, Nathan Edwards Simpson, age 45, pulled out a handgun a demanded the victim’s cell phone. Simpson stole the cell phone and ran through the parking lot. The victim and Simpson are known to each other.
 
Police established a perimeter and briefly placed nearby schools on a shelter in place. Detectives tracked Simpson to the Nassau Square development off Route 27, but did not locate him.
 
Simpson is a white male, 6’02”, 200 lbs., has green eyes, black hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue pants. He also goes by the name “Bryan Spinelli”. (see photo)
 
He is charged with armed robbery, endangering the welfare of a juvenile, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal restraint, terroristic threats, and theft.
