STORM UPDATE
Tuesday, December 2, 2025
West Windsor Area
Timing:
• Precipitation arrives early Tuesday morning
• Starts as snow for our area, then changes quickly to rain by mid to late morning
• Rain continues into Tuesday afternoon and evening
Olaf Index (Snow): 1
Forecast for the I-95 and NJ Turnpike corridor including Trenton and West Windsor is less than 1 inch of snow before the quick transition to rain.
Olaf is not thrilled. He tried to get a snowman building committee together but the meeting was canceled due to slush. Snow may briefly coat grassy surfaces and make the early morning a little slick. Do not waste a good back muscle. The Teenager-Shovel-App is still offline because there is barely anything to shovel.
Elsa Index (Ice): 3
The storm begins cold enough for a brief mix of snow and sleet but transitions rapidly to plain rain. The early morning could feature slippery spots but widespread icing is not expected.
Elsa will give us a quick tap on the shoulder, not a full Broadway routine. Still, keep an eye out for that sneaky thin glaze before the changeover. I don't see any brine so please use caution!!!
Dorothy & Toto Index (Wind): 4
Gusty northwest winds develop later Tuesday. Gale force gusts of 30 to 35 knots are noted for the coastal waters. Inland areas like West Windsor can see elevated gusts Tuesday evening.
Dorothy has packed her basket and Toto is wearing his seatbelt. The winds increase after the storm transitions to rain, especially into the evening, but this is not a house-relocating situation.
Lightning McQueen Road Index (Roads): 3
Early morning travel could be slick from the initial snow or mix. Once we shift to rain, roads turn wet with reduced visibility. Not a major snow event for the I-95 corridor but still a reason to slow down during the morning commute.
Lightning McQueen says Ka-Chow with caution. Your tires will have plenty of grip once the rain wins the battle, but the morning hours need patience.
