WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST TUESDAY
Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch.
This is for parts of Buncombe, Henderson, Polk Mountains, and Rutherford Mountains Counties.
Expected from 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Tuesday.
Icing may create slippery conditions on roads, bridges and sidewalks. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute.

The ice accumulation potential will be mainly over the eastern parts of Buncombe and Henderson counties, east of Swannanoa, Fairview, and Edneyville to the Blue Ridge Escarpment.

Instructions:

Delay early morning travel if possible. Slow down and use caution if traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. Do Not call 911 or local fire department asking for road conditions. We will not provide rather it is safe to travel due to varying conditions.
