Idaho Falls Man Arrested on Numerous Weapons Charges During Traffic Stop in Rancho Cucamonga

INCIDENT:  PC25850(A)-Carry a Loaded Firearm in Public
PC29800(A)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm
PC30305(A)(1)-Prohibit Own Ammo
PC21810- Manufacture/Sell/Possess Brass Metal Knuckles

LOCATION: Archibald Avenue / Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT(S): David Adolfo Fuentes, 44-year-old male, Resident of Idaho Falls
       
VICTIM(S): State of California


SUMMARY: On Sunday, November 30, 2025, at approximately 11:02 P.M., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station were actively patrolling in the area of Archibald Avenue and Baseline Road. Deputies observed a blue Volkswagen, traveling down the roadway, and conducted a traffic stop for California vehicle code violations.

Deputies contacted the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, later identified as David Arnulfo Fuentes. During the investigation, deputies learned the driver was operating the vehicle on a suspected driver’s license. During an inventory of the vehicle, deputies located three handguns, five ammunition magazines, loose ammunition, and brass knuckles. One of the firearms was loaded and three of the magazines were high-capacity magazines. Through further investigation, Fuentes was found to be a felon out of the state of Idaho and is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition. 

Fuentes was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC258509(A)- Carry Loaded Firearm, PC29800(A)(1)-Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC30305(A)(1)-Prohibit Own Ammo, and PC21810-Manufacture/Sell/Possess Brass Metal Knuckles.
