MONTHLY STATS FOR NOVEMBER 2025

RESPONSE TIMES:

During the month of November 2025, the average response time for all calls for service was 6 minutes and 53 seconds. There were 2 Priority 1 Emergency calls during the month with an average response time of 4 minutes and 5 seconds. These response times were derived from the 370 calls that qualify for response-time tracking.

PATROL STATISTICS:

This report includes a summary of the total incidents for all calls for service as well as the total number and type of police reports that were generated. The Patrol Statistics report also includes our total number of arrests as well as citations.

During the month of November 2025, HPD responded to and handled 2,847 calls for service and reported incidents. 599 incidents were resident calls for service and 2,248 were officer-initiated incidents. HPD made 2 arrests and issued 43 total citations in the month.

CRIME SUMMARY:

This report is a summary of all crimes documented and investigated by the Hillsborough Police Department. We are actively investigating the attempted murder of a police officer that occurred on February 22nd (see previous press releases for information). In November, we investigated 1 residential burglary and 1 “other” burglaries. In 2025, we have investigated 13 residential burglaries and 7 “other” burglaries (construction site, commercial, or vehicle).

CRIME SUMMARY (YEAR TO DATE):

On 2/3/25, police were informed about a sexual assault that happened on Brooke Court. The suspect was a man employed by the South San Francisco School District. On 10/1/25, officers carried out a search warrant at his home in Pacifica. They took two laptops, two iPhones, two iPads, and collected a DNA sample from him. A drone was used during the search, and Pacifica Police helped manage traffic in the area.Investigations will review the evidence, and the case will be sent to the District Attorney’s Office for further action.

On 9/29/25 the Hillsborough Police Department received a report from the San Jose Police Department regarding multiple sexual assaults that occurred in numerous jurisdictions including Hillsborough. HPD investigators contacted the victim and discovered that the suspect and victim were known to one another through their employment. An investigation was initiated and HPD investigators located evidence of the sexual assault. HPD investigators are working with other law enforcement agencies on the investigation.

On 11/5/2025 the Hillsborough Police Department received a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle on Mountain Wood Lane. The victim reported that someone had stolen a purse from her vehicle which had been parked on the street in front of her residence due to work being done in her driveway. HPD Officers obtained surveillance camera footage which captured a general description of a suspect vehicle. HPD Officers then conducted a search through Flock Automated License Plate Recognition Cameras and located the suspect vehicle and its license plate. HPD Investigators discovered that vehicle was a rented vehicle and have identified the renter of the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing to identify a suspect.

On 11/12/2025 the Hillsborough Police Department received a report of a burglary from South School. School staff reported that during the evening hours of 11/11/2025, an unknown suspect entered the school property and a classroom through a door with a malfunctioning door lock. The suspect subsequently stole two Apple iPads along with a first aid kit, space heater, and hand sanitzer.HPD Investigators obtained surveillance camera footage of the suspect and are working on determining his identity
