Incident #2025-27989 - Residential Burglary
Date/Time: Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 4:47 PM
Location: Windsor Drive
Reporting Officer: Ptl. Jacqueline Schulte # 5113

Details:  Patrol was dispatched to a residence on Windsor Drive for the report of a burglary that occurred within the previous thirty minutes. The homeowner reported seeing a light beige van in front of the residence occupied by two females, described as possibly Middle Eastern, who engaged him in conversation before leaving the area. Upon entering his home, the resident discovered several rooms had been rummaged through and that forced entry had been made through the rear door. Responding officers cleared the residence and canvassed the area. Det. M. DeMarzo # 5102 responded to process the scene, where pry marks were observed on the rear door.


Incident #2025-27990 - Shoplifting

Location: Dick’s Sporting Goods - 530 Nassau Park Boulevard

Details:  Patrol responded to Dick’s Sporting Goods for the report of a shoplifting. Two females, one adult and one juvenile, were observed concealing merchandise and exiting the store without paying, taking approximately $639 worth of merchandise. The suspects were seen entering a white GMC Yukon..


Incident #2025-27996 - Shoplifting Arrest
Date/Time: Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Location: Target - 500 Nassau Park Boulevard

Arrested: Brian C. Onyeze (Bloomfield, NJ)

Details:  Patrol responded to Target for a report of a shoplifter detained by loss prevention. Investigation revealed that Onyeze, a repeat offender, altered price tags on multiple items of men’s clothing and scanned fraudulent clearance tags at self-checkout, paying $34.50 for $119.98 worth of merchandise. When questioned, Onyeze initially provided false identifying information before eventually revealing his true identity. Through investigative means, it was determined that Onyeze provided fictitious information to conceal his identity. He was placed under arrest and charged with Shoplifting and Hindering Apprehension. Onyeze was processed and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.


Incident #2025-28175 - Theft by Deception
Date/Time: Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Location: Elsinore Court

Details:  Patrol responded to Elsinore Court for a report of a theft by deception involving a scam targeting the victim’s retirement funds. The victim reported being contacted by individuals claiming to be federal agents investigating identity theft. The suspects convinced the victim to withdraw a large sum of money from her 401(k) and turn it over to an alleged “agent” who arrived at her residence to retrieve the funds. The suspects provided fraudulent documents purporting to be from federal agencies. The funds were surrendered to the suspect, after which contact ceased.


Incident #: 2025-28908 — Shoplifting / CDS / Counterfeit Goods

Location: Dick’s Sporting Goods – 530 Nassau Park Boulevard

Accused:
• Darrell W. Roberts – Philadelphia, PA
• Darrien K. Powell – Philadelphia, PA


Details:  On the above date and time, patrol responded to a shoplifting in progress at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Two suspects fled the store with merchandise and were seen heading toward a nearby business. Ptl. Rankin located Powell, who matched the broadcast description, and escorted him back to the store. Through investigative means, Powell was identified as having assisted in the theft.

Store surveillance revealed Roberts placing stolen clothing into a black duffel bag before exiting the store without paying. Powell acted as an accomplice, coordinating with Roberts throughout the incident.
A short time later, Roberts was located inside a silver Jeep. Officers observed cut security tags on the ground outside the vehicle and new clothing matching items stolen from the store inside the vehicle. Both suspects were detained and placed under arrest for shoplifting.
A search of the vehicle revealed stolen clothing, suspected stolen merchandise from another retailer, multiple counterfeit iPhone and AirPod packages, two burglar tools, and a case containing approximately 90 pills which officers identified as MDMA. Additional checks determined the iPhones to be counterfeit.  Powell denied that the pills were MDMA. He stated the pills are used as erectile dysfunction supplements which he sells in Philadelphia.

Both suspects were transported to headquarters for processing. Roberts was charged with shoplifting and possession of burglar’s tools. Powell was charged with shoplifting, possession and distribution of CDS, possession of burglar’s tools, and trademark counterfeiting. Both were issued complaint summonses and trespassed from the store. 

 
Incident #: 2025-28911 — Vehicle Burglary

Suspect # 2:  17 y/o B/M Juvenile from Newark, NJ 
Suspect # 3:  Unknown B/M 

Details:  Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle burglary. The caller stated that two suspects were seen entering and pulling on the door handles of his parked Range Rover before fleeing the area on a bicycle. No force was used to enter the vehicle, and nothing was reported stolen. Items from the center console were found displaced inside the vehicle.

The accused and suspects were identified as the same individuals involved in a carjacking and motor vehicle theft at the Princeton Junction Train Station shortly afterward, referenced under case number 2025-28912.

Details:  Patrol was dispatched to a report of an assault at the train station. Upon arrival, officers located the victim sitting on the curb being evaluated by EMS. The victim had difficulty communicating due to a language barrier, and translation was later provided by a family member.

Through translation, the victim explained that while waiting outside his vehicle for his daughter, he observed three males on the platform who briefly entered a train before exiting and approaching him. The suspects shoved the victim between two parked vehicles and punched him multiple times. While the victim yelled for help, one suspect covered his mouth while the others searched his pockets and stole his vehicle keys. All three suspects entered his white Audi SUV and fled the scene with the victim’s wallet.  A witness confirmed seeing three males assaulting the victim and fleeing in the Audi.

Detective DeMarzo was assigned as lead detective on this case and through investigative means, was able to identify two of the three actors.  At the time of this release, charges were filed for a 12 y/o juvenile out of Newark, NJ who is currently being held at a Juvenile Corrections Facility on similar charges out of another jurisdiction.  The stolen vehicle was recovered in Philadelphia with the assistance of the Philadelphia Police Department.  The investigation is ongoing.

 
Incident #: 2025-29138 — Shoplifting
Date/Time: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Location: GAP – Princeton MarketFair - 3535 US Route 1

Accused: Cierra D. Guy – Philadelphia, PA

Details:  Patrol responded to a reported shoplifting involving four individuals. Surveillance footage showed two adult females and two juveniles selecting multiple items of clothing, with one adult suspect removing merchandise and exiting the store without paying. The remaining three individuals left without items.

A MarketFair facilities employee observed the primary suspect carrying clothing outside the store and photographed the vehicle the group entered, bearing a Pennsylvania registration. Through investigative means, the driver was identified as Cierra Guy, matching the suspect seen taking merchandise.  Guy was charged with third-degree shoplifting and issued a court date in Mercer County Superior Court. 


Incident #: 2025-29342 — Shoplifting
Date/Time: Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Location: Target – 500 Nassau Park Boulevard

Accused: James Grenville – Jersey City, NJ

Details:  Patrol responded to Target for a shoplifter detained by store security. Upon arrival, Grenville was found in the security office with concealed merchandise recovered from his backpack. Through investigative means, including review of surveillance footage, it was determined that Grenville selected Lego sets, concealed them in his bag, and attempted to leave the store without paying.

Grenville was placed under arrest for shoplifting, processed at police headquarters, and released on a summons with a municipal court date. He was also advised that he is trespassed from Target for one year.


Incident #: 2025-29571 — Vehicle Fire
Date/Time: Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 8:37 AM
Location: US Route 1 South near Carnegie Center Drive
Reporting Officer: Ptl. Alexander Baile # 5130

Details:  Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle fire and located a vehicle on the shoulder with the rear fully engulfed in flames. The driver was out of the vehicle, uninjured, and declined medical attention. He reported smelling something burning before pulling over and observing fire coming from the rear of the vehicle. He stated that he is a mechanic and had a bucket of grease and oil stored in the back.
Fire crews from Stations 43, 44, and 45 extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire was undetermined. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and detectives were notified.


Incident #: 2025-29582 — Shoplifting
Date/Time: Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 12:40 PM
Location: Whole Foods Market – 3495 US Route 1

Details:  Patrol responded to a report of a shoplifting in which two female suspects were observed selecting merchandise and exiting the store without paying. Loss prevention recovered all stolen items and observed the suspects flee in a white Buick sedan with a Pennsylvania temporary registration.

Through investigative means, including review of surveillance footage, the suspects were described as two Black females: one wearing a pink hat, jean jacket with “Pink” on the back, gray sweatpants, and pink Crocs; the second with black hair with white streaks, wearing a black “Scarface” shirt, black pants, and purple slides. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $967.11.  This investigation remains active.


Incident #: 2025-29638 — Theft
Date/Time: Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10:02 AM
Location: Princeton-Hightstown Road (rear of Carlucci’s)

Details:  Patrol responded to a report of stolen cooking oil. A contracted service employee reported that when he arrived to collect used oil from the restaurant’s storage container, he observed the lock seal was broken and a significant portion of the oil had been removed. The last service to the container occurred in May 2025.
The total amount of missing oil was estimated by the reporting party, and the case is under investigation.


Incident #: 2025-29736 - Dispute
Date/Time: Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 8:57 AM
Location: Valero – 351 Princeton-Hightstown Road

Details:  Patrol responded to a dispute between a gas station attendant and a customer regarding the amount of fuel pumped. The customer reported requesting $20.00 in fuel but stated the attendant exceeded that amount. The attendant claimed the customer requested a full tank. The customer paid $20.00, and the attendant offered additional time to pay the difference, which the customer refused to do.
The business owner was contacted and advised of the matter, which was determined to be civil in nature.


Incident #: 2025-29855 - Shoplifting

Details:  Patrol responded to a past-tense shoplifting that occurred the previous day. Through investigative means, including review of surveillance footage, the suspect was identified as an older Black male wearing a tan sweatsuit, black skull cap, tan scarf, and black sneakers. The suspect entered the store twice, selecting multiple clothing items and exiting both times without paying.  The total value of stolen merchandise was $1,269.85.
