Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who fired several shots from a weapon on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
At approximately 11:32 p.m., the ShotSpotter system detected gunfire in the 500 block of Mulberry Street. The suspect, captured on surveillance video, fired several rounds and fled west on Emmet Street as a passenger in a white Charger that headed south on McCarter Highway from Murray Street. It had a black stripe on the hood, a black roof, a black wing, and a partial black design on the trunk. The suspect wore dark-colored clothes, black/grey, and white Retro Air Jordan sneakers.
No one was injured, but police officers, after canvassing the area, located four 9mm shell casings.
