TRAFFIC SAFETY UPDATE
BLACKOUT WEDNESDAY ENFORCEMENT RESULTS
As part of the statewide Goal Zero traffic safety initiative, West Windsor Officers conducted a high-visibility enforcement surge on Blackout Wednesday. Our goal was simple: reduce dangerous driving behaviors during one of the busiest travel nights of the year.
Here are the results:
31 traffic stops conducted
32 summonses issued
Breakdown of violations:
8 unregistered vehicles
4 failure to observe traffic signal
4 speeding
3 cellphone violations
2 crosswalk violations
2 seatbelt violations
2 careless driving
1 stop sign violation
6 miscellaneous violations related to documents or inspections
Our Officers will continue conducting focused traffic enforcement on select days in addition to their regular patrol duties. These efforts remain part of our ongoing commitment to reducing crashes, injuries, and unsafe driving behavior on our roadways.
