Winter Storm Warning until 02:00PM Saturday

* WHAT...Periods of moderate to heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 24 inches, greatest on west facing slopes where locally higher amounts are possible. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains and Crazy Mountains.

* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 2 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the backcountry will be impacted by heavy accumulating snow and blowing snow.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall amounts on the northeast facing slopes around Nye to Red Lodge are much less, around 3 to 6 inches. A temporary break in the snowfall is expected Friday.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ABSAROKA/BEARTOOTH MOUNTAINS ... CRAZY MOUNTAINS
