* WHAT...A mix of freezing rain and light snow. Ice accumulations around a light glaze. Minor accumulations of snow.
* WHERE...Anchorage / Eagle River (all elevations), Lower Matanuska Valley, and Southern Susitna Valley.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM AKST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Periods of light freezing rain this morning combined with surface temperatures right around freezing, may lead to a light glaze of icing on road surfaces, especially for already-icy side and neighborhood roads. Freezing rain is expected to transition over to light snow by early afternoon. Minor accumulations of a half inch or less are expected for most locations through this evening.
* AFFECTED AREAS: ANCHORAGE ... ANCHORAGE HILLSIDE / EAGLE RIVER ... LOWER MATANUSKA VALLEY ... SOUTHERN SUSITNA VALLEY
