Wilmington Police have arrested a man in in connection to a burglary in progress.
On December 1st, at approximately 3:51 a.m. members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 900 block of North Shipley Street, where they observed 42-year-old Richard Gibson break into a vehicle. Gibson exited the vehicle with proceeds but was immediately taken into custody without incident.
Gibson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree)
- Theft under $1,500
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released on $2,500 unsecured bail.
