Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun charges following a vehicle stop.
On December 2nd at approximately 9:28 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 700 block of West 8th Street in reference to a vehicle violation. Officers made contact with the driver, 26-year-old Nahsir Doss, and recovered a loaded .9mm handgun. Doss was taken into custody without incident.
Doss has been charged with the following offenses in addition to a traffic citation:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a concealed Deadly Weapon
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
