Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun charges following an investigation.
On December 3rd at approximately 3:50 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1900 block of Superfine Lane in reference to a shots fired incident with no injuries. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 26-year-old Lafel Crawford Jr., who was identified as a suspect in connection with the shots fired incident and was taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered a loaded .9mm handgun.
Crawford has been charged with the following offenses:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Discharging a Firearm on a City Street
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released on $7,000 secured bail.
