At 1118 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Whitemarsh Island, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Tybee Island, Bellinger Hill Area, Fort Pulaski National Monument, Wilmington Island, Hutchinson Island, Downtown Savannah, Midtown Savannah and Garden City. This includes the following highways... I-16 between mile markers 164 and 168. I-516 between mile markers 5 and 9.
