Mayor Bhalla & the City of Hoboken invite community members to the Maritime Park Groundbreaking Ceremony
Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken invite residents to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Maritime Park on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. The event will take place at the Maritime Park construction site, located at 901 Sinatra Drive. Due to ongoing construction, community members must travel to the groundbreaking ceremony by walking south along the eastern sidewalk of Sinatra Drive and enter through the southern entrance of the Maritime Park construction site.
As the ceremony will take place outdoors on a construction site, all guests must wear closed-toed, flat shoes, and are encouraged to dress warmly. The event will proceed rain or shine.
When complete, Maritime Park will serve as one of the final links in Hoboken’s continuous waterfront walkway, ensuring that the City's waterfront becomes accessible public open space. The park will include a skatepark, passive and active lawn space, educational piers, native plantings, beaches, and more.
