As temperatures drop, the risk of water main breaks increases. Sudden changes in temperature can cause underground pipes to shift or crack, leading to leaks or breaks in the water system.

Residents are asked to help by keeping an eye out for signs of a possible water main break, including:

• Unusual water flowing in the street or along the curb
• Sudden pooling of water in an area that is normally dry
• Noticeably reduced water pressure in your home
• Discolored water coming from your tap
• Sump pump running continuously
