We are grateful to be awarded a $65,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety to support traffic safety and enforcement through September 2026. 

This funding strengthens our efforts to reduce serious injuries and fatalities on La Verne roads through education, enforcement and community outreach.

With this grant, our efforts will include:

• DUI checkpoints and DUI patrols

• Distracted driving enforcement

• Operations focused on the safety of people walking and biking

• Enforcement of violations that cause crashes such as speeding and red-light running

• Community traffic safety presentations

• Collaborative operations with neighboring agencies

• Training and recertification for officers

Funding is provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
