The Wilmington Police Department’s Cold Case Unit is asking for the assistance of the public in connection to the 1992 murder of Janice Willis-Stewart.

On September 24, 1992, at approximately 7:00 a.m., police responded to the 500 block of East 35th Street, in reference to an assault incident that had occurred. Upon arrival, police located 47-year-old Janice Willis-Stewart, who had been assaulted and succumbed to her injuries.

This investigation remains ongoing, and investigators are asking the public for assistance.
