Flood Warning until 07:03AM Wednesday

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Oregon... Nehalem River near Foss affecting Clatsop and Tillamook Counties. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Oregon... Wilson River near Tillamook affecting Tillamook County.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. There is a 25% chance for Moderate flooding and a 10% of reaching Major flood stage.

* WHERE...Wilson River near Tillamook.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...Above 14.0 feet, widespread lowland and dairy land flooding begins along the Wilson River downstream of the river gage at Highway 6 mile post 6. Flooding also begins along sloughs, mainly Dougherty, north of Tillamook from Wilson River Loop Road west to Hwy 101 and along Makinster Road west of Hwy 101. Minor flooding begins in the north Tillamook business district along Hwy 101, particularly during high tide.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 PM PST Tuesday the stage was 12.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 1:30 PM PST Tuesday was 15.2 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall to 12.1 feet late this afternoon. It will then rise to 13.4 feet late this evening. It will fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight to 5.9 feet late Monday morning then rise again. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
