City of Birmingham Snow Emergency Parking Ban 
The City of Birmingham has issued a Snow Emergency Parking Ban for the entire city beginning on Wednesday, December 10th , 2025 at 9:00am. The ban will end in the downtown business district at 8 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 11. The ban will remain in effect for residential areas until 5 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025.
All vehicles must be removed from roadways so that snow plows can safely clear the streets. Failing to remove your vehicle from the road may result in a civil infraction citation and/or the towing of your vehicle. Handicapped parking designations and vehicles on the southside of Graefield St are exempt from citations. Please do not shovel any snow into the roadway or onto adjacent properties.
During the Emergency Parking Bans, the gates at the Chester Street Parking Structure (180 Chester Street) will be open for free access to assist residents with moving vehicles off the street. For parking concerns please call police dispatch at (248) 530-1889.
